The Advanced Reperfusion Strategies for Cardiac Arrest (ARREST) study randomizes persons with refractory cardiac arrest occurring outside the hospital to receive either standard resuscitation treatment or early ambulance transport to a hospital for treatment with advanced reperfusion strategies. This research will determine which treatment results in the highest rate of survival with good function.
